Susan Atkins, a former member of the Manson clan and the longest-serving female prisoner of California, US, has died in prison. She was 61.
It was Atkins who exposed those responsible for the murders after she bragged of her involvement while imprisoned for an unrelated offence. Two fellow inmates reported her to the authorities. Subsequently, her testimony ensured that she, Charles Manson and several others would be convicted of a string of murders in a 10-month trial, including those of heavily pregnant actress Sharon Tate and of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca. Phone Sex With Hannah
Yesssss!! Finally my new site is live and well and just the beginning. For those who have known me for years, well you know how I am about updating my journal, I’m not, and I know you’re thinking whatever possessed me to do a new phone sex site that is a blog/journal that I have to keep updated.?! TV-hell
Yesterday i was out drinking with a friend, and when we were sufficiently drunk for us to agree on going home, we went by my pad to have a cup of coffee and talk out of our arses. One of the things we discussed was my tv channel situation (i don’t have a tv at the moment), after my buddy went home, i apparently mustered the will to write the following rant: Now, i believe in open markets as much as the next guy, but somehow this is impossible with regard to tv channels. Apparently – there is no way to let the open market dictate the tv channels that should survice. Unless i can choose the exact tv channels to support (= give money to) there is no way for me (and other consumers) to kill a horrible tv-channel. Once a channel has been accepted by a cable provider there is practically no way to get them off the provider again. So this is my problem, there are some tv-channels that i will not pay to get, even if tormented in a very unpleasent way, so my only option is to not get any tv-channels at all. WinNotify
Today i found the time to create a small utility i have been needing for some time.
A little background:
I use emacs’s rcirc client to talk on irc and on Debian i use the libnotify library’s notify-send command to notify me when someone talks to me, as described here.
So now i have created a windows utility to do this: WinNotify which is just a simple command line utility to make windows popup one of those balloon notification dealies.
I am sure it can be applied to other things – please do!
